The act of displaying another company’s web page within a bordered area of a website — similar to the picture-in-picture feature offered on some televisions. for example, when a user enters a search engine request, the search engine might display the contents of an online store within the search engine’s website, framed by the search engine’s text and logos. when a web page is framed within another website, the url or domain name of the framed web page is usually not displayed and users are not able to bookmark that site.
