Apostille Recordable
Documents

The fifteen documents listed in the columns below are classified by the Texas Secretary of State as recordable documents.

What this means is the Texas Secretary of State authentications unit will only issue an universal Texas apostille certificate on a Texas recordable document if it’s the original document or it’s an official certified copy issued from either Texas Vital Records (aka Texas Vital Statistics) or the Texas county or city of where the document was originally recorded and issued from.

If your recordable document was issued from another state (non-Texas) you will have to go through that states Secretary of State office to receive a apostille or authentication certificate because it can’t be done in Texas.

The Texas Secretary of State will deny and issue a formal rejection letter on any document filing attempt that is a photocopy or a notarized copy of any type of recordable document.

Because all recordable documents are officially recorded (hence the name) with a city, county, or state government entity you do not need to get them notarized before you mail them to us or drop them off in person at our office.

Apostille
Non-Recordable
Documents

The fifty nine documents listed in the columns below are classified by the Texas Secretary of State as non-recordable documents (except the three types of federal documents).

What this means is the Texas Secretary of State authentications unit will only issue universal Texas apostille certificates on non-recordable documents if they are properly notarized and wet ink signed by a Texas notary public.

The Secretary of State of Texas will deny and issue a formal rejection letter on any document filing attempt of an non-recordable document if it’s not properly signed by the document signer and notarized by a Texas notary public.

The Texas public notary that you use to notarize a non-recordable document must be a Texas notary public. Any notarizations from another country or a different states (non-Texas) notary public will result in your documents being automatically rejected by the Texas Secretary of State office.

If your non-recordable document is an original Texas elementary or middle school, high school or Texas college transcript, diploma, degree, or records you must get a school admin/registrar official to properly sign your original school records in front of a Texas notary public before you or the school can mail your documents directly to us to rush apostille them on your behalf.

Apostille Corporation
Documents

The fifteen documents listed in the columns below are classified by the Texas Secretary of State as corporations section documents.

What this means is the Texas Secretary of State corporations department will only issue Texas apostille certificates on corporate documents that were filed by you or your company in the past and a unique Texas SOS file number has already been issued to you and/or your company by the Texas Secretary of State.

You can’t mail, fax, or drop off these types of documents to us to rush apostille like you can with all Texas authentication unit recordable and non-recordable documents. You only email your orders to us.

All official corporation documents that you want apostilled by the State of Texas must already been issued and legally be on file with the Texas Secretary of State office.

Once a rush order is placed by us with the Texas Secretary of State corporations unit they will issue new certified copies of all the corporation documents that you want apostilled.

Then they’ll issue and attach a universal apostille certification onto each of your corporate documents which we will pickup and then mail all your documents back to you.
